Mission Statement

Lightscape Photography is dedicated to creating passionate and purposeful imagery, whose focus is the natural world, the inhabitants that occupy it, and the relationships that exist between them. It is run by Chris Klaming, out of his home in Victoria, on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The mission is:
To clearly, intelligently, and artistically communicate via images. To create art that inspires; to communicate issues and ideas that are truthful, relevant and meaningful; and to share and convey an appreciation for the great bounty of Life that exists on our planet.
The defining approach is to follow a path that unites head with heart, and mind with body and soul, where the True meets the Good and the Beautiful in an all-encompassing embrace. Through this integral vision emerges a wholesome and balanced perspective in the realm of outdoor, travel and natural history photography.
